NADFAS - The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies in the UK
NADFAS is comprised of Member Societies in the UK and abroad who aim to promote the appreciation and study of the Decorative and Fine Arts in their widest sense and to stimulate interest in the preservation of the British and European cultural heritage.
The first Society was founded in Buckinghamshire, England in 1965 by the late Patricia Fay, OBE and there are now over 370 Societies with almost 100,000 members worldwide. Membership of a Society provides an opportunity to study Decorative and Fine Arts by means of illustrated lectures delivered in English by experts in their chosen fields.
Each society organizes its own series of lectures. Lecturers are recommended by NADFAS for their proven academic knowledge of their subject and their communication skills.
A in-house magazine, NADFAS NEWS, is distributed four times a year.
NADFAS is a worldwide association based on the love of the Arts and on joys of discovery.
